Project ADAM (Automatic Defibrillators in Adam's Memory) designates schools as Heart Safe Schools when they meet the following criteria:
- Ensure AED's are available and accessible
- Have a written plan and team of CPR/AED-trained staff ready to act in an emergency
- Conduct emergency response practice drills.
All LSSD schools were recognized at the February school board meeting and presented with banners by Project Adam program coordinator, Angel Carter, RN.
